Today Lady Gaga revealed the album art for the upcoming ARTPOP — a Jeff Koons sculpture of the singer with Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus spliced in the background and a big, blue ball between her legs. Not an unexpected pairing: The album’s first single, “Applause,” referred to Gaga’s Koons fandom (“One second I’m a Koons, then suddenly the Koons is me”), and Gaga calls the cover “a real depiction of my mind through his.” Telepathy!
