Lisa Marie Presley died from small bowel obstruction ... this according to the L.A. County Coroner.
The exact name of the condition is sequelae of small bowel obstruction. Translation -- Lisa Marie died of complications resulting from a small bowel obstruction.
This document is not the full report, and presumably, there will be toxicology results when that report is made public.
Since Lisa's death, there's been a lot of drama in the Presley household. Her mother, Priscilla, was in a war with Lisa's daughter, Riley Keough, over Lisa Marie's trust -- which has now been settled. Sources connected tell TMZ ... Lisa Marie's estate paid an undisclosed sum of money to Priscilla to settle the dispute. Our sources say it's in the millions.
Priscilla's attorney announced the settlement outside the courtroom after the hearing, saying ... "The families are happy. Everybody is happy and excited for the future."
As we reported, Lisa Marie was also taking weight loss meds and was fresh off of plastic surgery.
Lisa Marie passed away in January at a hospital in the L.A. area after suffering cardiac arrest.

This family and their "bathroom issues" and opioid abuse. Jesus.
So the kid had to pay "Grandma" millions to get her jackals off of her? Were they Scientology jackals or just regular jackals? I know Pricilla was a big Scieno for many years, as were Lisa Marie and every one that family. Crazy bitches.
I hope the grandchild (Riley?) cuts Grandma loose and has a nice life.

True she was terrible with money and wasted it all but it's still rolling in and the grandchild is far from poor.
Pricilla, milking the corpse of Elvis all these years, was going to have to actually get a job or go on social security after Lisa Marie cut her off.
Did she have Lisa Marie killed for the money? Just curious.

Oprah and Gayle went to Graceland. LMP was there and some cooks had made a spread of food. LMP said that one of her relatives embarrassed her at the table by asking: "Did you use the bathroom today?" LMP said that her family (Elvis' side, I guess) had bathroom issues.

Lisa Marie Presley and I felt a kinship towards each other. My maternal ancestors were also Presleys, so we would often call each other “Cuz.” While Henry Louis Gates confirmed we weren’t actually related, we always liked to think so. Throughout the years, we had many conversations—on camera, off camera, and even on hikes—and she was always 100% genuine. Rest well, “Cuz.” Blessings to her mom, Priscilla, and her daughters, Riley, Finley, and Harper.

UPDATE
4:00 PM PT -- The toxicology report findings have just been released. There were therapeutic levels of Oxycodone in her blood. A second opioid was found -- Buprenorphine -- which is to treat opioid overuse. Opioid can cause constipation, which can lead to bowel obstruction, which was the cause of her death. There were also traces of Quetiapine, an antipsychotic drug.
4:04 PM PT -- As for the bowl obstruction, it was in the form of a strangulated small bowel, caused by adhesions that developed after bariatric surgery (gastric bypass) years ago.
4:08 PM PT -- The Coroner says there was no drug paraphernalia or narcotics found at her home when she was rushed to the hospital. At the hospital, Lisa Marie went into cardiac arrest. Her urine toxicology screen was negative.
4:09 PM PT -- The report confirms TMZ's story ... Lisa Marie had a cosmetic procedure a few months before her death, after which she was prescribed opiates, adding she had a history of "overmedicating," and she was known to forget she had taken her meds and would take them again. The report adds Lisa Marie had a history of alcohol and drug abuse.

Hmm. I wonder what kind. If she'd lost a lot of weight a tummy tuck, skin removal? That's a long recovery, isn't it? Wouldn't a reputable plastic surgeon say no to someone with a very recent history of opiod abuse and relapses. It sounds questionable. Lawsuit?

by Anonymous | reply 64 | July 14, 2023 11:00 PM |
As we've previously discussed in this thread, R64, Hollywood's bariatric surgeons have a different code. It's common to be able to get a gastric bypass procedure done even when the patient isn't grossly fat. Nicole Richie famously had it for being normal sized but not skinny. She was bigger than Paris Hilton, her co-star at the time.
I think they view it as if it were just another plastic surgery procedure which it is not.

It's surprising he received a slice of the estate. Priscilla must have given up her claims of a share to enable him to receive a small piece, she must have negotiated that. The People article states she only received a lump sum in exchange for resigning as a trustee.
If its only a lifetime estate share (one that isn't inheritable by his heirs) it could work out well in that it will grant him a modest income stream to live off of during his life. Priscilla might not have much left in terms of assets at this point, and wanted him taken care of.

Buprenorphine, per the NIH: FDA-approved for acute pain, chronic pain, and opioid dependence. It is an agent used in agonist substitution treatment, which is a process for treating addiction by using a substance (such as buprenorphine or methadone) to substitute for a stronger full agonist opioid (such as heroin).
Naltrexone: is a medication approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat both alcohol use disorder (AUD) and opioid use .

A bowel obstruction is not just the Matthew Perry variety where opiates constipate until rock hard fecal matter forms a large mass.
It can also be caused by adhesions or something odd like swallowing two magnets that join together in the bowel and pinch the intestines closed.
In LMP's autopsy it states portions of her bowel became trapped, or “strangulated,” from scar tissue that formed following surgery. She had been complaining of abdominal pain earlier in the day.
When the bowel becomes strangulated it cuts off the blood supply and the tissue begins to die. This is a medical emergency, and can happen without any degree of constipation.
She lived her life hearing stories of her father dying on the toilet. Let's not contribute rumors and make up embarrassing details. Her bowel twisted and died, causing a cascade of complications leading to cardiac arrest.
